We're Expecting...

…Kittens, that is. Its official – Terry is pregnant. You should see how big her tummy is becoming.

I had no idea at all on what to do about her pregnancy, so I went to the pet forum and asked the experts. Turns out that Terry should be switched to a good kitten food, because she needs the extra nutrients. So of course, I immediately bought the kitten formula of her current brand. But the thing is, its Finn who keeps on eating the kitten food!

Anyway, I am both excited and scared for Terry’s kittens. There’s still so much to prepare! But on the down side though, I’ll have to kiss my plans of buying a ragdoll goodbye. At least for now.

Here’s me with the preggy kitty…

Cat Stuff for My Kitties

I just came back from a business trip in Bangkok. Okay, I’ll admit that I did more shopping there than work…Haha!

What’s funny though is that I bought more stuff for Terry and Finn than I did for my boyfriend. The cat things there are so adorable! I bought pet carriers for the two kitties and also bought a bed for Finn (Terry already has one). Aside from that, I bought a few cat toys as well as the cat food brand that cat fanciers here are all raving about.

Can you say spoiled cats?! Haha!

Finn

We bought a Birman cat so that Terry will have a companion whenever my boyfriend is not at home (which is very often!). We named her Finn because we liked how it sounded. But it’s actually very appropriate because Finn seems to be very finicky!

Unfortunately, she and Terry aren't exactly friends yet! At first, they would hiss at each other and Terry would chase Finn around the house. Now the hissing has subsided a bit, but it’s Finn who is chasing Terry around! Sometimes Finn would "kiss" Terry on the nose and they'll be okay for a while. Other times, Finn would try to come near Terry, who in turn will try to swat her, so she runs away.

My boyfriend was laughing at me because I would tell the kitties "No fighting in this house!". Who knows, maybe they do understand what I’m saying. Hopefully, they’ll be okay in a couple of days, or maybe weeks.

Ragdoll

I love the ragdoll breed. The first time I heard of the ragdoll, I knew that this is the breed for me. Unfortunately, there is only one reputable breeder in our country, and there is already a long waiting list for the would-be kittens.

However, I read in Philippine Pet Finder that someone was selling non-pointed ragdolls! They have the same temperament as the pointed ones, but they have a different eye color. I really want to buy one of the kittens! But I’ll have to wait until the end of the month, since the kittens are just only a few weeks old! I'm so excited!
